He only missed 1!!!!! YEAH!!!!
For those of you who are not familiar with the TAKS test, (where have you been? hiding under a rock? how can you not know what the TAKS test is?) it is a test that must be passed in the 3rd, 5th and 8th grade (then in high school too but I'm not sure which grade) or you do not get to go on to the next grade. In my opinion it isn't very good but that's just me, I knew that Shaw would do alright but you never know. Some kids get sick over the thought of taking the test. Shaw has practiced and taken benchmark tests out the wazoo in order to prepare for this test. They will take the Math TAKS on April 28th and then he will be able to go on to 4th grade. I can not tell you how proud we are of him. We would have been proud even if he just passed it but we are REALLY proud of him only missing 1!

Way to go, Shaw! So proud of him. His first grade teacher must have been awesome!! LOL! Maria, it was so special to get to teach both of the boys. So sad I missed out on Scout!
